Meet Andrew, Founder of Fly Garage
Like a lot of people coming out of high school, Andrew was not exactly sure what path he wanted to take. Instead of sitting still, he got to work.
Over the years, he tried his hand in a wide range of trades and hands-on industries, from construction, electrical work, and plumbing to welding, mechanical work, fabrication, and general shop work. Each trade taught him something useful, but none of them felt like the thing he was meant to build his life around.
That changed when a friend asked him to help paint a car.
What started as a favor quickly became a passion. Andrew discovered he had an eye for detail, a steady hand, and a real appreciation for the craft behind quality body and paint work. More than anything, he enjoyed the process of taking something damaged, worn, or unfinished and bringing it back to life.
He continued developing his skills and eventually spent time painting aircraft, where precision, consistency, and attention to detail mattered every day. That experience helped shape the way he looks at paint, preparation, finish quality, and doing the job the right way.
But Hawai’i was home.
Wanting to come back home and build something of his own, Andrew started Fly Garage.
Today, Fly Garage is built around the same values that shaped Andrew’s path: hard work, honest communication, pride in the craft, and respect for every vehicle that comes through the shop. Whether it is a daily driver, work truck, classic, project car, lowered import, or performance vehicle, the goal is not to rush it in and out. The goal is to do the work with care.
Fly Garage is not built around turning and burning vehicles.
It is built around earning trust, doing honest work, and taking pride in the finished result.
Built around care, clarity, and pride in the work.
